Why it works everywhere

A credential that travels with you

Wherever you live or move, the same trusted certification follows you. Here is what every ACA caregiver gets.

National, not local

One recognized credential accepted coast to coast, not tied to a single city, county, or state.

The same online course

Every state takes the same self-paced course by email. No classes, no logins, no deadlines.

Valued nationwide

Private families, private-duty clients, and non-medical home care employers value documented training in every state.

Verifiable anywhere

Every certified caregiver is listed in the National Caregiver Registry, so anyone can confirm your status.

One honest note: ACA certification is a private national credential, not a state license. Some state-regulated roles, such as working as a CNA or a home health aide at a Medicare or Medicaid certified agency, require state-approved training. For private-duty, family, and non-medical caregiving, no state license is required. Pick your state above to see exactly how it works where you live.
Common questions

Caregiver certification across the states

Is ACA certification valid in my state?
Yes. ACA certification is a national credential recognized in all 50 states. The course is the same wherever you live, and your certification is listed in the National Caregiver Registry so it can be verified anywhere in the country.
Do caregiver rules change from state to state?
State-regulated roles can differ. A CNA or an agency home health aide follows state-approved training rules that vary by state. Private-duty, family, and non-medical caregiving usually has no state training mandate. Your state page explains the local details.
Is this a state license?
No. It is a private, national certification, not a government license. It gives you real training and clear proof of that training, which private families and employers value. If a role requires a state-approved credential, check that requirement first.
My state is not listed with its own page yet. Can I still get certified?
Absolutely. The certification is national, so you can enroll today from any state. We are adding dedicated state guides over time, but your certification is valid everywhere right now.
How do I find the page for my state?
Select your state on the map above, or choose it from the state list. States shown in red already have a dedicated local guide.
