American Caregiver Association Reviews

As the national accrediting body for caregivers, the American Caregiver Association takes great pride in the courses we offer to the public. And, when caregivers finish a course we want honest feedback from caregivers about what they are learning, or not learning from the courses. To facilitate the feedback process when students finish any ACA course they are asked to complete a short course evaluation about their experience. Some of the questions that we ask students to answer include:

  • How did you like the course?
  • Do you feel like you learned some things that will be helpful to you as a caregiver?
  • Would you recommend the course to a friend?
  • Are you satisfied with our service?

Each of these questions conjures a variety of responses from students. Here, we would like to share some of the responses from students to provide you with a little better idea of what students feel they are getting out of ACA courses.

“It gives me the knowledge of how to care for the elderly and the sick. It also taught me how to control stress and how to handle any resident.”

 “Very informative and Useful”

-Dennis Crane (ACA Certified July 2016)

“It was encouraging. It just renewed a lot of things that I forgot about and that people take for granted. I need to know them.”

-Julie Harris (ACA Certified Since 2013)

“I really liked it because I learned how to treat them (elderly) with respect and value them not only based on their age but their personality. I learned how to respect, listen, encourage and improve lives of residents each day. And, I learn how to take on my responsibilities and handle emergency situations.

Living with elderly people can be such a great challenge that most families and friends tend to avoid in our daily lives. I have developed a sense of passion to work with different elderly people. I will know now that I avoid procrastination, always have a positive attitude, and work to always improve the well being of the residents.”

-Joyce Sarah (ACA Certified in July 2016)
