Nutrition and Cancer Prevention in American Indian and Alaska Native Communities
Patient Educator and Registered Dietitian from the Stephen and Barbara Slaggie Family Cancer Education Center, located in Rochester, Minnesota, discusses how rates of new cancer cases has decreased in the United States, however, growing disparities or inconsistencies exist in cancer rates in American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities. This webinar touches on the reasons why we see differences in cancer rates in AI/AN people and nutrition strategies to potentially reduce cancer risk.
