When it comes to home health aide certification the American Caregiver Association recommends that you start with our basic course, the National Caregiver Certification Course (NCCC). Cost for the NCCC is only $99, and is the ideal course for those looking to get started as a home health aide. The National Caregiver Certification Course provides you with the essential tools, techniques and strategies that you will need as you look to acquire home health aide certification. As the national certifying organization for caregivers the American Caregiver Association also grants 120 hours of in-class credit for this course. After you complete your course and obtain your home health aide certification, you are entered into the National Caregiver Registry, or NCR. The National Caregiver Registry is the largest database of certified caregivers in the world. The NCR is also the database that prospective client’s and/or families, employers and other interested parties will check when wanting to verify your home health aide certification, and general credentialing.
