Your Best Option When It Comes to HHA Certification

Whether you’re new to caregiving or a veteran caregiver, it is important to be informed about what type of HHA certification you need to have. Along the same lines, it is equally critical to understand the roles that various caregiver organizations play across the United States.

Sadly, however, there many hard working and dedicated caregivers who are not quite up to speed on these topics which, of course, is why the American Caregiver Association exists, at least in part. And, often, many of these same caregivers do not have HHA certification or formal training on any level.

On the other hand, they may have learned how to be a caregiver ‘on-the-job’, or by the seat of their proverbial pants. In fact, quite a large number of people learn how to be caregivers this way. This is the reality of the ‘caregiver world.’ This is due to the fact that when it comes to being a caregiver, a lot of the time the individual is thrust into a situation that they didn’t necessarily plan for or fully expect.

Time goes by and before you know it, months or even years have passed and the caregiver, while much more skilled and knowledgeable at this point, hasn’t taken a step back and said, “hey, maybe I should make this official.” By “official”, of course, what they are referring to, is proper HHA certification, or more broadly, ‘caregiver certification’.

This is where the American Caregiver Association comes into the picture. The American Caregiver Association (ACA) is the national certifying organization for caregivers and the largest caregiver certifying body around the globe, with many affiliates across the world, who are working diligently both training and certifying caregivers under the ACA banner.

If you find yourself in the above situation, now is the time to take that step back and acquire your HHA certification from the ACA. The cost is minimal at $99, and the entire course is completed by email, including the exam. So, it is truly a simple process.

We have a purpose for making the process simple yet nourishing because we understand the demands, stresses and pressures of being a caregiver and we don’t want to ‘add’ to it by making our certification process arduous or complicated in any way.

No doubt, you will obtain new skills and dust of some of the older skills you may have forgotten. Pick up your HHA certification course here. When you are finished you will have the HHA certification that you need and be entered into the National Caregiver Registry (NCR), the worlds’ a largest database of certified caregivers.

Remember, what you do is so very important to those you serve. Don’t give up, stay focused and remember how blessed we truly are as caregivers.
