Accredited Online Caregiver Certification: The American Caregiver Association
There is still some confusion and misinformation across the United States about who the the national accrediting organization for caregivers is. It’s our job to ensure that anyone seeking accredited caregiver certification be aware that the American Caregiver Association is, and always has been the national accrediting body for caregivers, assisted living managers, care home facilities, and other entities that may seek certification or accreditation from the ACA.
Our role is strictly that of a certifying body. In fact, the American Caregiver Association certifies caregivers all around the world, from the Philippines to Taiwan, France and even the Ukraine. This year, the ACA is taking additional steps to both educate and inform Americans about what our role is as the nation’s accrediting organization for caregivers. This process started on January 1st of this year when we released changes regarding Designations and Title Changes for Non-Medical Caregivers. Please watch the video below on this subject if you have not yet had an opportunity to do so.
As we move forward through the remainder of 2016 and beyond, we plan to work diligently to create a national awareness about our role as the national accrediting body for caregivers. But, we need your help to do that by spreading the word with family, friends, co-workers and a host of different organizations that may require caregiver certification such as insurance companies, caregiver agencies and Long-Term Care organizations. Please watch the brief video below for an overview of our role nationally.
