Types of Caregiving
Let’s first talk about the “type” of caregiving that you can do. And goodness, there are all types of caregiving! You can work for a home health company and be sent out to caregivers for individuals in their homes. There is also the chance that you may find yourself caring for a loved one still living at home.
You can turn your interest in caregiving into a business and start your own private duty caregiver company. There are live-in caregivers and there are caregivers who travel. And there are caregivers who choose to work for assisted living facilities.
Really, there are endless possibilities for you as a caregiver. It really depends on what ‘type’ of caregiving that you want to do. But there is no need to rush things. Start with the basics and build from there.
Be patient and take your time. There is no hurry. You may find that in your caregiver journey that you start in one place and end up in another. We’ll hold off on this topic for another blog.
